Waltzing Mathilda, es la canción folclórica más conocida de Australia , y ha sido incluso propuesta como himno no oficial de los australianos. Es su canción más arraigada y a la que tienen más cariño, la cantan en los estadios de fútbol o rugby, en los homenajes a los soldados (por ejemplo por la batalla de Gallipoli)...en realidad en todas partes,.... incluso existe un museo dedicado a ella en Winton, Queensland.
